Resort 2013 - Highlights.

Here's a round up of my favourite looks from the Resort 2013 shows:

Burberry
Christopher Bailey kept it classic for his collection with a distinctly 'British Summer' feel. After all, we're never sure of the weather we're going to get. My favourite look in the collection (pictured below) was a roll-neck loose fitting jumper with short shorts and hold-all. There was also some great tailoring in varying grey, woven fabrics. Summer chic at its finest!

Rachel Zoe
The stylist turned designer produced a chic resort collection that reminded me of a capsule wardrobe. Everything you could need was there. My favourite look has to be the salmon trouser suit (below), but most of the 60s/70s inspired collection caught my eye.

Gucci
Frida Gianinni gave us a floral delight at Gucci this season, a stark contrast from her Autumn/Winter 2012 dark, gothic collection. A simple pallette of green, rosey pink and navy created this simplistic collection. From trouser suits to full length dresses, the silhouette was straight and simple. This is a collection not to be missed, even if only to see the beautiful back drop to the images. How many flowers?!

Lanvin
An all time favourite of mine, Alber Elbaz changed it up this season at Lanvin with different silhouettes, fabrics and prints. Aside from the monochrome pieces, which looked amazing by the way, the stand out piece for me has to be the belted, metallic gold, dress come trench coat. #ChicToTheNextLev

So there's a quick snapshot of my favourite pieces/collections. Looks like tailoring is going to be a major trend for Resort 2013. What are your thoughts?
